2017 Jacks Teams Raise Over $3,000 for JOA, Duchenne Research
The 2017 Lumberjacks Summer Club Travel Baseball Teams came together to raise over $3,000 for John Owen”s Adventure, Inc. through the On-Base for Duchenne program. This is our 4th consecutive year of On-Base for Duchenne, a program in which players acquire donations from various sponsors for each time they reach base via hit or walk during their respective seasons, and the $3,238.05 collected by the boys is a new record donation to JOA, Inc.
John Owen’s Adventure, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to derailing Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy by helping to discover treatment, improving research, and establishing education and awareness programs for those affected by DMD. They are also “committed to raising awareness and research dollars to treat juvenile diabetes, a chronic disease affecting nearly 26 million Americans.”
